30 Years of Grace: Akua Serwaa Bonsu Returns with ‘Adanse Pa Wave ’25’ Live in Kumasi
Celebrated Ghanaian gospel legend Akua Serwaa Bonsu is marking a major milestone—30 years in music—with a powerful comeback concert in Kumasi this June.
After a long break from the spotlight, the iconic singer is set to headline “Adanse Pa Wave ’25,” a spirit-filled live worship experience on Sunday, 8th June 2025 at Emmanuel Assemblies of God Church, Stadium Dadiesoaba YF, Kumasi. The event kicks off at 4:00 PM and is free to attend, no registration needed.
This concert follows the success of the Germany edition in 2024 and doubles as a celebration of her fifth studio album, “Adanse Pa,” released in December 2023. The album marks her triumphant return after nearly two decades of silence.
Joining Akua on stage will be a powerful lineup of guest gospel artistes, including Rev Dr Mary Ghansah, Kwaku Gyasi, Adwoa Amankwaa, McDaniels O Bonsu, Adom Kiki, Sandy Asare, and Rev Yab as a special collaborator.
Known for her timeless gospel hits like “Nsamarane” (1997), “Noah Nna No” (2000), and “Ebeyeyie” (2002), Akua Serwaa Bonsu’s legacy has shaped Ghana’s gospel music history. Her earlier works were produced by the late German engineer Bodo Staiger, and she has collaborated with greats like Daddy Lumba, KK Kabobo, and Oheneba Kissi.
Now, with “Adanse Pa Wave ’25,” fans can expect a powerful night of praise, worship, and the unmistakable sound of a gospel trailblazer returning to her roots.
