Hiplife artiste now evangelist, Yaw Siki has revealed that it has been a tough journey since he left his old ways to seek a better life in Jesus Christ.
Yaw Siki, whose song Wope Dodo made him a household name in 2011, made the switch from secular to Gospel music in appreciation to God for the second chance offered him when he was involved in a near fatal accident on the Tema Motorway in 2013. He sustained severe injuries and there were fears he wouldn’t make it.
“It’s not easy to take such a bold decision as a young artiste. Things haven’t been rosy. I have had a very rough ride.
Sometimes, you are broke and don’t even know where to find your daily bread but in all this, I have strong faith in the Lord. He always provides for me,” he stated.
The artiste who is known in real life as Isaac Okai, says he has always drawn inspiration from the likes of Lord Kenya, Papa Shee and Gemann who have walked his path before but are still going strong in the Lord.
