Gospel Musician Dorothy Adu-Poku Continues to Forge New Ground
Canadian-based Ghanaian Gospel Musician and songwriter Dorothy Adu-Poku also known as London Bebe, who has toiled to have her music heard in the gospel music scene, has now harnessed her unique combination of smooth, soaring vocals and lyrics in the gospel industry.Her musical influences are diverse in Toronto Canada, Ghana and beyond. Her first album was released in 2014 and the second album was launched in September 2017.
Each song on the albums was carefully curated to offer thanks and praise to the Sovereign King.
Dorothy Adu-Poku, born in Ghana, lived in Amakom / Lobito – Kumasi before travelling to UK. She lived in London for 8 years and later moved to Canada in 2003.
She has in her possession diploma in Social Service Worker program with a focus on Immigrants and Refugees from Seneca College of Applied Science and Technology.
The incomparable gospel minstrel is married with four beautiful children and all of them are in Canada doing well in school.
The vessel of God is an active member at the church of Pentecost, McKeon worship Center in Toronto.
Like most artist, Dorothy chronicles how she came into the eminence in her musical ministry. Dorothy was catapulted into the spotlight after she was called in for the person who wasn’t available to lead praises and worship.
Since then, she began to capitalize on a lifelong love of music which has continued to date.
“My passion for singing started early in Ghana, but the opportunity to be seen and recognized as an instrument of praise and honor to the Lord happened here in Canada 2007, ” she told GospelEmpireGh.Com.
The anointed singer’s main aim is to impact generations through her songs and also to unify listeners, churches, and Christ’s message together.
