I am Not an Angel – Brother Sammy

Controversial Gospel musician Bro Sammy real name Samuel Opoku received numerous backlashes after his live worship video ‘Nsem Fo’ went viral on social media last few months. He courted controversy with the song titled ‘Nipa fo na ɔka nsɛm fo’ translating loosely into English it is the idiot who says foolish things!

For this reason, some aggrieved musicians (OJ and Noble Nketsiah) stormed the studios of Adom FM to register their displeasure on the Drive Time Show, Ofiekwanso.

In a new update monitored by GospelEmpireGh.Com, the Nnipa Hunu hit maker disclosed in an interview with Tracy Boakye on Shakira TV, that the ‘Nsem Fo’ song is a true reflection of what is happening in Ghana.

He added that, the recording of ‘Nipa fo na ɔka nsɛm fo’ worship video wasn’t a deliberate recording.

According to the Kumasi-based musician, it was just a rehearsal session that the song was composed and one of the colleagues of his took a video shot of the rehearsals which went viral on social media. “It wasn’t a song recorded for sales,” he added.

Last year, on November 24, 2017, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, gospel songstress cum prophetess Cecilia Marfo reportedly slapped self-acclaimed ‘Nation worshipper’ Brother Sammy in a deliverance process.

The incident which took place at the Cecilia Marfo’s TsooBoi Praise Concert, generated lots of conversations on social media after Brother Sammy posited in several interviews that whatever happened on the day was masterminded by Prophetess Cecilia Marfo in collaboration with Ernest Opoku Junior basically to demean his brand.

However, when asked by Tracy if he still had bitterness against gospel singer Cecilia Marfo, Sammy reiterated in the interview that, apparently he has no problem with any gospel musician including veteran gospel singer Cecilia Marfo.

Brother Sammy also made it emphatically clear that he has developed a thick skin for negative stories about him.
