With his undeniable ability to minister, the Vibrant Gospel artiste chronicled his reason for choosing gospel: “It’s not that I have any choice. It’s a calling. If you’re called and ordained to do something you just have to obey God. It’s like when I was in the British Army for 6 years; you’re called to serve the queen and country. When you’re called u stop whatever you doing and obey command,” he told GospelEmpireGh.Com in an interview.

When asked by GospelEmpireGh.Com about his thoughts on current Ghanaian Gospel industry, the incredibly gifted singer said: “I wish I had been in the industry for long to speak about this. However as a fan I think I have the voice to speak about it. If we’re to compare Ghana music especially our Gospel music to our counterparts, you can say Ghana Gospel is on the down low. I know someone will debate me on this. I think our Ghanaian Gospel musicians are scared to take risk and change style of music. So they will rather play it safe and copy a particular trend which is in the system. This has made our music so monotonous. Please this is my view lol.”

In 2018 OB Saint won the Best Male Gospel Act category at the DBE MUSIC AWARDS.
