Hiplife artiste-now-turned-evangelist, Yaw Siki, has unveiled that he will never collaborate with any secular artiste in his music specialty.
Brother Yaw as he is presently called told Ayisha Bayipa on SVTV Chat, which airs on SVTV Africa that, he has no purposeful collaborating with any secular artiste.
Explaining his reason, he said there’s a great blessing within the secular music industry that he wished it may well be utilized within the gospel music industry but what he is concerned more is the followers.
He continued by saying that, he isn’t comfortable with the circumstance where he will collaborate with an secular artiste and at the same time that secular artiste will go back to record his ‘ADWAMAN’ tune to make money. ADWAMAN literally translated from the Akan dialect as ‘fornication.’
“I am not comfortable when I collaborate with a secular artiste particularly when we come together to sing for individuals to move away from sin and afterward that secular artiste goes back to sing tunes that draws individuals to sin, it is Lukewarmness,” he added.
“Incase we do that, we are teaching the followers that we can here and we can be there at the same time. The bible says I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou were cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. (Rev 3:15 – 17), “he stressed.
He was however quickly added that, he will never want any one God has given a sheep to be attracted into sin since he has been called as a shepherd whether he likes it or not and wouldn’t need to distort God’s word by falsify God’s word to his followers. He wants his followers to know the truth that it’s not right to be hot and cold concurrently..
Yaw Siki made a determination to halt composing secular music after his involvement in a fatal accident on April 15, 2013 on the Tema-Motorway road. After surviving the deadly mischance in 2013, he gave his life to Christ and begun preaching the gospel.
