Nigerian media personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, aka Daddy Freeze, has reacted to the post made by the Nigerian gospel film actor, Mike Bamiloye, who claimed that fallen angels have taken over social media.
The founder of the Mount Zion Faith Ministries in a social media post wrote, “Fallen angels have taken over social media, using the platform to corrupt the mind of human. A lot of men and women are posted by evil spirit, by their social media posts and images, you shall know them.”
However, Daddy Freeze in a post via his Instagram page disagreed with ideology of fallen angels, expressing that there is no proper scripture in context to back his ideology.
He wrote, “This ‘fallen angel’ theory you are propagating, shows poor biblical scholarship in my opinion, as fallen angels were never explicitly mentioned in any Abrahamic text and when ‘angels who sinned’ are mentioned in the New Testament, we are informed that they are either in heLL, or bound in darkness, NOT ON SOCIAL MEDIA.
“As Peter Obi often says: “Go And Verify”. Jude 1:6 New Living Translation, And I remind you of the angels who did not stay within the limits of authority God gave them but left the place where they belonged. God has kept them securely chained in prisons of darkness, waiting for the great day of judgment.
“- 2 Peter 2:4 New Living Translation For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He
threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment. The book of revelation in chapter 12 informs us that there at the end of the world there would be war in heaven and only then would the devil and his angels be thrown out of heaven.
“So according to canonized scripture, angels are either bound in prisons of darkness or in heaven; NOT ON SOCIAL MEDIA: – Revelation 12 New Living Translation- Then there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels. And the dragon lost the battle, and he and his angels were forced out of heaven. This great dragon–the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world-was thrown down to the earth with all his angels.
“Social media just like every other human invention or establishment (including the church), has both its good and evil sides, so I I’m struggling to find your point, especially when there is no proper scripture in context to back your ideology up. Kindly note that I will make myself available to discuss this either privately or publicly, so the truth can be brought to light and the misconceptions laid to rest. Do stay blessed and have a great new year ahead.”
