Akesse Brempong, officially known as Phil Evans Akesse-Brempong is one of the most respected gospel musicians in Ghana. He’s noted for his unique blend of traditional and contemporary styles of music.
Akesse has worked with artistes like Atta Boafo and Mathew Sarpong. He’s known for songs Yesore Wo, Cant Ever Stop Praising, Mensuro, Closer Walk, Crazy Love, to mention a few. According to him, he’s influenced by Bebe Winans, Deitrick Haddon, the late Danny Nettey, Josh Laryeah, Nii Okai, and many others.
