President Akufo-Addo Must Make Time To Meet Trending Taxi Driver – Reverend Dr Lawrence Tetteh

Spread The Love

The Founder and President of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Reverend Dr Lawrence Tetteh has appealed to President Akufo-Addo, his Vice, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and other leaders to personally meet and engage with the taxi driver who has gained overnight popularity for a simple act of kindness.

This he believes, will spur others on to also do good and be sincere in their dealings.

He said the act is rare as it is difficult to see such a gesture when people are living in hard times and the temptation to keep it, is overwhelming.

Reverend Dr Lawrence Tetteh was speaking on the ‘Breakfast Show’ on GTV.

He indicated that the moral lesson of driver Kwasi Ackon’s story is worth emulating and therefore pledged to support the driver whose dream is to buy his own car for his taxi business.

“I am happy to support him in any way. If he is going to buy a new car, we can help him with the difference to get a good car. This is a moral story. These are things we need in Ghana. This is not a greedy person ……at the back of somebody’s expense. I need to support him” Rev Dr Lawrence said.

For his part, Spokesperson of the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Armiyawu Shaibu said the act is inspiring.

“This was very inspiring, and should engineer the spirit of good morals and sincerity amongst Ghanaians, and amongst other commercial drivers who are always in contact with traders and people moving with goods and money.”

Taxi driver, Kwasi Ackon, has become an overnight sensation after a video of him returning an amount of GHC8,400 left in his car to the owner went viral.

Many people including Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and the newly crowned VGMA23 Artiste of the Year, Kidi have made cash donations to the driver.
